The Madness of Hope

J is for Jammies

It is a rare day that one awakes with nowhere to go, no visitors stopping by and no work to do. These are jammie days.

Outside our homes we see people in jammies. They shop, wash cars, hang with friends. Not me!

Jammies are for the comfort and confines of my home. They are for lazy days when the shower is abandoned, makeup and hair foregone, quiet and stillness surrounding my being.

Jammies are for reading, sleeping, snuggling and drinking coffee. One does not hurry nor stress in daytime jammies, for they are only worn when there is peace and calmness in the home.

I love the laziness of jammie days and am thankful for those precious, rare mornings when it is just me and my jammies!
