The Madness of Hope

To The End

In Jesus darkest moments of pain, suffering and agony, He never wavered from His purpose in life: to bring salvation to those He loved.
His love never faltered.
His final words, uttered in-between waves of excruciating pain: “Woman, here is your son.” “Here is your mother.” “Father, forgive them.” “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”
To the very end, He looked not to his own interest but the interest and salvation of others.
What excuse have I got for self-absorption?
If it were not for the grace of God, I would be on that cross. For I think too highly and too often of myself.
May I always look to others as more important than myself.
May I sacrifice my all to love and draw men to Him.
May I be a light.
To the end.
